FATTORIA DELL’AGLIO: the traditional garlic of Caraglio
Fattoria dell’Aglio has recovered the traditional cultivation of the special variety of garlic typical of Caraglio, in Piedmont.
Fattoria dell’Aglio was founded in 2005 in Caraglio, in the province of Cuneo, by a group of friends who wanted to resume this typical local cultivation. The recovery of those ancient traditions has been achieved thanks to research and studies, along a concrete commitment to the production. A bet which quickly proved to be a source of great satisfaction, even resulting in the formation of a consortium to protect the “Aj d 'Caraj”, the garlic of Caraglio.
After the garlic farming and cultivation, without the use of chemical herbicides, it follows the challenging time of collection and cleaning of the bulbs, which are then allowed to dry naturally and afterwards sold in bunches and braids, or turned into delicious products such as creams, flavored oils, tasty sauces ready to use in your best dishes. The delicacy and high digestibility of this type of garlic make it even more pleasing.
